Johann Peter Graf [V] (Kaspar, Philip, Caspar, Nickel) born in Rockenhausen, Germany 26 January 1793 He was farmer in his native village in Rockenhausen. He first married Anna Marie Schey (Schey also recorded as Scheurer) on 27 October 1813, she was born 9 December 1796 to Henrich and Johanna Catharine (OPP) Schey. Anna Marie died 18 November 1834 at the age of 38. Peter then married Catherine Kolter a daughter of Heinrich Kolter a farmer of Rothensteinerhof on 4 June 1835. She did not appear on the ship records with Peter and may have died in Germany. Peter left from the port of Havre, France with his brother Valenine and most of their family, aboard the ship Charles Hill He landed in New York City on 1 June 1853. He eventualy settled in St. Jacob, Illinois. He died there on 3 September 1863 and is buried in the Keystone Cemetery South of town. Children of Peter Graf and Anna Marie Schey are: Michael Graff, Daniel Graff, Henry Graff, Barbara Graff - Hoster, Peter Graff (Jr.)
Children of Peter Graf and Catherine Kolter are: Frederica Graff - Frey, Friedrich Graff.
Johann Peter's family appears to be the only branch that added the second "F" on Graf once they all came to America.

Michael Graff (Peter, Kaspar, Philip, Caspar, Nickel) [VI] b. 11 May 1816 d. 7 November 1899 Unmarried, lived with his brother Daniel and is buried at Campground Cemetery.

Daniel Graff [VI] (Peter, Kaspar, Philip, Caspar, Nickel)He was born 6 June 1821 in Rockenhausen, Germany. He grew to manhood and received his education in his native village in the vincinity of Kaiserslautern. At the age of 18 Daniel fled Germany to prevent being drafted in the army. In January of 1840 Daniel along with his Uncle Heinrich Graf, who left his wife behind left for Binger where they boarded a ship down the Rhine River to the Netherlands where they headed for New Orleans, Louisiana. To the authorities of Rhenish Bavaria he was concidered a deserter. He first came to St. Clair County, Illinois, but returned to St. Louis until spring of 1841. About 1843 he came to Bond County, Illinois where he worked as a farm hand. on 26 June 1846 Daniel Graf enlisted in the Mexican War. He served under Captain James C. McAdams and Colonel Farris Foreman. He saw action in Vera Cruz and the battle of Cerro Gordo as well as a number of other battles. He was discharged on 21 May 1847. On 26 September 1949 he Married Nancy McAdams daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth (Williamson) McAdams she was born 5 November 1831. Daniel and Nancy Settled in Bond County south of Greenville near Dudleyville. They cleared 40 acres and built a log cabin where they lived until 1869 when he built a new home for his growing family. Daniel served for nine years as district school director, he always had an interest in education. Daniel died 18 December 1892 at his home. Nancy continued to live on the farm with with her youngest son Don Carlos Graf and his wife until her death 18 May 1913. Daniel and Nancy several of their children including Sylvanus and wife Lucy, Don and wife and wife Lillian, Ellen Lilley, Adella, Ida Mary and Ira Peter are all buried at Campground Cemetery South of Greenville, Ill.

1. Ellen Lilley Graff born 10 July 1850, she died 10 February 1854.
2. Sylvanus C. Graff b. 18 May 1852 d. 16 June 1907 m. Lucy Durant 3 September 1875. They had two children Leona and Harry Graff. Leona M. Graff b. 1876 married Arthur E. White. They had three children Paul, Mary and Edith. Harry James Graf b. 11 March 1878. on 7 April 1901 he married Jennie A. Pike.
3. Lewis Cass Graff b. February 1854 married Clara C. Hockett 7 March 1889
4. Clara Day Graff b. 22 November 1856. She married Abram T. Porter 1 March 1882 they had three children; Maud, Rollin and Jennie Clara died in 1949.
5. Mary Elizabeth Graff born 13 December 1858 she married Edward Wells Briggs on 7 September 1884 Edward was born in 1861. They had five children; Charles, Nellie, Alfred, Edward and Lillian Briggs. Mary died 2 July 1947 Edward died 7 March 1935.
6. Adell Graff born in 1862 and died in 1872.
7. Charles Edward Graff born 30 January 1863 died in childhood.
8. George Henry Graff born 1866 married Lewella Jane Bird 28 June 1891, she was born in 1863. They had four children Waverly Graff married Hite Buchanan, Daniel Graff married Grace Gooch, Florence and Linus Graff.
9. Ida Mary Graff born 10 February 1968 died 21 October 1871
10. Ira Peter Graff born 13 November 1869 and died 21 October 1871 the same day as his sister Ida.
11. Don Carlos Graff born June 1873 he married Lillian Creel born in 1872 and died 16 October 1939, Don died 29 June 1929. They had one daughter Mary Esther Graff born 8 December 1907 and died 3 January 1961she married Alexander Sheldon Pritchard born 24 June 1900 and died 4 November 1973
12. Vausie Graff born 1875 d. 12 November 1954 m. Alfred C. White 25 April 1894. The had one son Guy White.

Heinrich Graff (Peter, Kaspar, Philip, Caspar, Nickel) [VI] b. 26 September 1826 d. 13 October 1908 unmarried, lived with his brother Peter in Greenville, IL. He is buried at Smith Grove Cemetery.

Barbara Graf [VI] (Peter, Kaspar, Philip, Caspar, Nickel) born 12 September 1828 died 30 June 1913 Married (1) Charles Hoster b. 11 January 1811 d. 16 November 1870 m. 12 March 1861(2) Joseph Becker b. 18 May 1835 d. 31 May 1892. Barbara and both husbands are buried in Keystone Cemetery in ST. Jacob, IL.

Peter Graff (JR) [VI] (Peter, Kaspar, Philip, Caspar, Nickel) born 23 December 1830 in Rockenhausen, Germany. On 23 February 1862 he married Eleanor A. Yoos daughter of Edward and Antina (Weber) Yoos She was born 21 February 1842 near Stuttgart Germany. d. 10 February 1929 in Bond Co. Illinios. I don't have much information on Peter and Eleanor. They moved to Bond Co. Ill. and bought a farm across the road from Peter's brother Daniel. At one time they had several hundred acres of land. Peter's brother Henry lived with the family until his death. Upon Peter's death 1 June 1899 Peter and Eleanor's son Peter, the only son that was living at home took over the farm until his death from Tuberculosis in 1922. Mamie Graff daughter of Peter and Eleanor took possession of the farm until her death in 1949. With no other family members to take over the farm it was sold in November 1950 by the children of Edward Francis Graff son of Peter and Eleanor. At the time of the sale they had a two story farm house, a cow barn, and horse barn and 99 acres of pasture and farmland. It sold for just over $10,000.

1. Louisa Graff b. December 1862 d. 25 November 1934 unmarried.
2. Mary Elizabeth "Mamie" Graff [VII] b. 9 November 1864 d. 19 August 1949 unmarried. Mamie taught school in Highland, IL for 22 years and was serving as Principal when she retired. Mamie had many gatherings from family reunions to hosting functions for the teachers at her home.
3. Edward Francis Graff was born 12 April 1867, he married Estella Hockett daughter of William Williford and Orphia (Witham) Hockett on 13 September 1888. Estella was born 20 August 1867. Edward and Estella had three children in Bond County; Florence, Lloyd, Mabel and Eva. Edward had a falling out with is family so in 1900 He took his wife and children along with several other neighboring families and headed South to Brule, Oklahoma. Edward settled there to farm and lived in a dug out house for nine years, where three more children were born; Bertha, Charles and Howard. Edward's family asked him and his family back to Ill. They moved back for a short time, but unable to get along, lived with Estella's family for a time before leaving for Vinita, Oklahoma. Estella came down with Tuberculosis and the family headed West for a better climate around 1914. They made it to Ashland, Kansas where they settled South of town. Estella there died 17 June 1917. Edward was a city marshall in Ashland for a number of years. He had a hard time trying to provide for his family, Charlie and Howard trapped racoons and skunks to sell the pelts to help support the family. In 1923 Edward moved to Denver, Co. and married Ida Revis. He died 7 August 1929 and is buried next to Estella at the Highland Cemetery in Ashland, Kansas.

Fredrick Graf [VI] (Peter, Kaspar, Philip, Caspar, Nickel) b. 29 November 1838 d. 7 June 1895 He married (1) Magdeline Vollet b. 19 August 1843 d. 16 January 1970 m. 26 January 1865(2) Louisa Philippine (Bena) Spies b. 1854 d. 1888 m. 11 November 1873. Fredrick was a wagon maker and owned a shop in downtown St. Jacob, IL.

Children of Friedrich Graf and Magdeline Vollet

1.  Fritz Graf born 25 May 1865 and died as a child 30 October 1871.

2.  Magdalena Friederika Graf born 24 March 1867 and died as a child.  Date unknown.

3. George Graf [VII] b. 22 September 1868 d. 22 June 1953 he married Adeline Bircher on 25 July 1901 in Belleville, IL.  The lived Lived in Granite City, Illinois where  George worked as a steel worker for Granite City Steel for 30 years.  They are buried in Keystone Cemetery in St. Jacob, Illinois. George and Adeline had three children; 1. Emily Adeline Graf born 12 May 1902 and died 12 June 1948.  She married Edwin Gruenewald.  2. Elmer Robert Graf born 11 September 1905.  He married Ann last name unknown.  3.  Marie Rose Graf born 28 January 1909.  She married Virgil Tierney.  Marie and Virgil had one daughter Rose Marie Tierney she was born 14 September 1938 and married Robert Cummiskey on 12 May 1968.

2. Ludwig Virgil Graf [VII] b. 29 January 1877.  He was a farmer all of his life.  He lived many years along with his brother at his cousin Mamie E. Graff's place (the former Peter Graff place) in Greenville, IL helping on the farm.  He died unmarried 28 March 1951.  He played the bass drum in the St. Jacob Harmony Band as was given the name Dutch Doodle.
3. Carl Charles Graf [VII] was born 2 October 1879 and died in 1944. He married Anna Wiegand  she died 13 October 1955. Charles was a stationary engineer for the Empire State Building in Mahattan, NY, he was also a veteran of the Spanish-American War.
4. Fred Graf [VII] was born 4 March 1883 and died in 1908. Fred was never married and buried at the Keystone Cemetery, St. Jacob, IL.
5. Wilhelm Joseph Graf [VII] was born 8 May 1885 and died  20 January 1952.  William lived in Greenville, IL with his brother at the home of cousin Mamie Graff where he helped tend to the farm until Mamie's death in 1949.  William was never married.
6. Ella Graf [VII] was born 16 February 1888 and died 17 April 1974 she married  Peter Schiefer 24 January 1907.  He was born 21 April 1884 and died  21 September 1942 in a farming accident.  When Ella was no more than 6 months old her mother died leaving Fredrick with a young child.  Ella was sent to live with Fredericka and Valentine Frey her Aunt and Uncle where she was raised on a farm South of St. Jacob. 

Children of Ella Graff and Peter Schiefer

a.  Wilbur Jacob Schiefer born 15 July 1907 and died 18 December 1970 while on a hunting trip. He married 1. Francis Korte 3 March 1934. 2.  Valeria O. Gustmann.  Wilbur and Francis had one child Wilbur Henry Schiefer born 7 May 1939 and married Nancy Louise Bugger 6 May 1961.  He also had one daughter Audrey Schiefer (unsure of which wife, I assume Valeria).

b.  Living Schiefer born 17 May 1913 married to 1. Betty Fish 2. Ivy Parfitt.

c.  Milton Valentine Schiefer born 28 September 1910 and died 17 November 1997.  He married Rosina Schuetz on 1 March 1933.  Rosina was born 29 Novmeber 1912 and died 27 October 1987.  the had five children all living.

d.  Viola Katherine Schiefer was born 14 November 1915 and died 26 November 2002.  Viola was a secretary for the Home Telephone Company, she was unmarried.

e.  Living Schiefer born 18 July 1918 married Howard Behrens, they had two children.

f.  Living Schiefer born 5 January 1921 married to Elmer Meikamp, they had four children.

g.  Living Schiefer born 25 May 1923 married 1. Lennie Mae Cherry 2. Christine Mercer.  They had three children.

h.  Living Schiefer born 15 October 1928.

i.  Dorothy Louise Schiefer born 1 October 1930 and died 17 February 1997 married Arthur Fohne they had one daughter.
